Owner, operator, Certified Massage Practitioner and aesthetician at Tranquil Spirit Massage & Spa. I'm a Delaware native, born at KGH, grewu p in Smyrna and have lived in Camden since I married in 1985. I have two wonderful sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law, one wonderful stepdaughter and ten even more wonderful grandchildren! Not to mention, my furry little shadow Lucy and two felines Oliver and Chester. And I still have the wonderful original, 1985 model husband. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, antiquing, kayaking, museums, riding with my husband on our motorcycle Rosie, and spending time with family.

Going to massage school was a kind of mid-life career change for for and one that was one of the best things I ever did. I obtained my massage certification in April of 2006 from Star Technical Institute in Dover, DE and my Aesthetics training in from The Academy of Massage and Bodywork in Bear, DE in 2008. My basic and continuing education has included Swedish, deep tissue, neuro-myo muscular techniques, assisted isolated stretching, acupressure points, migraine massage, prenatal, hot stone, hot bamboo and reflexology. In addition, I offer facials and skin treatments, body scrubs, body wraps and waxing as I also am a licensed aesthetician.

I served on the Board for Massage & Bodywork for the State of Delaware, the professional regulating body for our profession for two terms and as President for two years and VP as one year during my tenure. I helped draft legislation for massage establishment licensure to help combat human trafficking, which is something I feel very strongly about. It's very important to all of us to advance our profession and keep it a safe and regulated field for all.

Being on the board and teaching CEUs has allowed me to meet and network with other massage professionals that I might not have met any other way and that's been the best part of it. I welcome my colleagues and feel that the more I share knowledge and information with them, the more blessed my work has become. There are so many great people in massage!

I truly so very fortunate with my work and my clients, My work is my 'Happy Place' and my wish is to have my clients feel the same way when they're in my office. And I have the best clients anyone could ask for.
